LEARN ABOUT THE FRENCH PRESS METHOD
Also known as Melior, the coffee infusion we obtain from the French Press is tailor-made for you: due to its diversity, we obtain coffee of different intensity, depending on the infusion time. Comfortable, practical and easy to use, the French Press is ideal for the first approach to filter coffee.
Step 1:
Weigh and grind the coffee.
Weigh the Costadoro coffee beans on a scale (recommended dose is 18g) and grind them to get very large beans.
Step 2:
Pour coffee and perform flowering.
After placing the coffee in the French Press, pour a portion of filtered or bottled hot water (total dose for 18 g of coffee is 300 ml). This way you can observe the moment of flowering: the moment when the coffee comes into contact with the hot water and creates a puff.
Step 2:
Add the flavorings and mix.
Add your favorite flavorings (we suggest: orange peel, roses, and a pinch of cinnamon) and continue pouring hot water in a circular motion until finished. Mix the preparation with a mixer.
Step 4:
Filter
Close the French Press to prevent the aroma from dispersing and let the preparation infuse for 3 to 5 minutes. After this time, gently push the plunger and continue filtering. Use the French Press to pour the coffee directly into the cup.
A classic method with a long history, as the first French presses, as roughly translated, came to the market at the end of the 1930s.
