Features and performance

Gaggia Magenta Prestige offers the best of Gaggia's beverage preparation programs. Following the example of the Cadorna series, the Magenta machine allows you to fully customize each drink on the menu and set the desired temperature, brewing strength (or pre-ground coffee) and volume for all coffee drinks and, if necessary, the desired amount of milk. In keeping with modern tastes, the full beverage menu offers a total of 12 choices, including: ristretto (x2), espresso (x2), espresso lungo (x2), coffee (x2), americano, cappuccino, café au lait, café cortado, frothed milk, flat white, latte macchiato and hot water.

If you want to adjust the drink to your taste, simply select it from the menu and make the desired changes. All 12 drink options are available in the home menu with clear color icons of the individual drinks. Whenever you change the settings for a brew, you will be prompted to save the changes at the end of the brew cycle. To enable such a wide range of drink options, Gaggia has equipped the Magenta with a high-quality steel cup holder that can be mounted on the drip tray for taller cups or locked into the front of the machine to raise the cup closer to the spouts and prevent splashing . The drip tray cover itself is a quality piece of built-in steel that attaches with a magnet for a more premium fit and finish.

The main star of the Magenta Prestige coffee machine is of course the carafe with automatic defrosting. When you prepare a milk drink, it automatically froths and distributes the milk, as it locks onto the front of the machine. After cooking, you can use the quick cleaning function to rinse the carafe before the next use, and the deep cleaning function can be accessed in the Magenta appliance menu. When the carafe is not in use, you can store it in the refrigerator and insert the attached water spout instead. Perhaps most impressive of all, the software logic changes the order of coffee or milk dispensing for each drink, with milk first for cappuccinos and latte macchiatos, and coffee first for café au lait, cortado and flat white.
